Members docjeffrey
Nice LPs Doc! I love 'em!! Here's my 2010 R8 and my 2007 Custom. Both completely stock and I'll never change a thing: Almost looks like a Bourbon Burst in the right light: Nice! and you're not afraid to gig with them. Good on you. I gig mine too, but not in the winter. I go with my poly finished PRS's because it gets damned cold in my trunk when it's
Members docjeffrey
Here is a better picture of my R8 - I love this guitar That's a VOS finish, right? I have one (my R0) and I'm totally sold on the VOS concept.
Members DavidMgT
That's a VOS finish, right? I have one (my R0) and I'm totally sold on the VOS concept. Indeed it is. I love the VOS finishes as well - particularly on Gibsons as they tend to execute them beautifully.
Members ubernerd
The binding gives the illusion that it's a little thicker. But it's heavy. Mine weighs in close to 11 lbs. I think you need a Custom to join all the beautiful LPs in your stable

Members GAS Man
Sir, I am here to report possession of 4 such instruments. At first I thought, "oh, I only have 2, but then looking at the spreadsheet to recall their exact names, I recalled that I also have two Custom Shop Les Paul Specials to report. That's a 2006 GIBSON CUSTOM SHOP 1960 LES PAUL SPECIAL SINGLE CUT Cut VOS Then just a month later I added a NOS 2008 GIBSON CUSTOM 1960 LES PAUL SPECIAL SINGLE CUTAWAY - TV YELLOW I only have a canned pic of it in this group shot. Then back to regular Les Pauls, My first Custom Shop Les Paul was this Ice Tea '59 RI LP Standard after that came this 2006 GIBSON CUSTOM 1957 LES PAUL CUSTOM 2 PICKUP WITH BIGSBY VOS Oh -But wait a second all that is not true either. I'm trying to forget my first one (bringing the total to 5) that I bought in 1984. It is a 1983 "Custom Shop Edition" Les Paul Studio Standard. Among the first "Studio" LPs made. Possibly more dubious in its pedigree than the others, but it's still something to me since I bought it in '84 when I was a young 27 yo, kissin wife number one's ass to make the purchase when Pampers were more on the priority list than guitars. Members GAS Man
Gas Man don't you have a LP Supreme as well? Indeed I do (Thanks for remembering!), but they (at least mine) are not "Custom Shop" It was however a Gibson Guitar Of The Week. I might possibly be a front runner on Gibsons of the Week and Gibsons of the Month, but Guitar Dane waxes me on Custom Shop models. But here's the Supreme. It had a curly ebony fb and the finish was called Autumn Burst. Also these days a lot of the semi-hollow bodies are considered Custom Shop although I don't think they truly qualify. But if so, then I'd toss in my
Members docjeffrey
^^^Wow. Really great looking guitars, all of them. Keep 'em coming. Members Vibroluxman
Camera is fine, though a new one will have more resolution and dynamic range. The photos just need a bit of TLC in the computer. If you use a simple free program like Picasa, it'll fix a lot of the problems with your images BBreaker. They're generally just missing contrast. New cameras are always fun though.... :poke:

Description: 1 of only 59 made in the Limited Edition finish "Light Burgundy Burst" (gloss not VOS), this guitar has exposed zebra coil (Burstbuckers or classics?) pickups, 8 lbs 7 ounces, this is a really cool color that's somewhere between Darkburst and Brockburst (not Tri-Burst), Great feeling neck with the new profile that is minus the big shoulders and measures: 1st fret .925", 12th fret 1.013", nice looking dark Madagascar rosewood fingerboard, very good sounding and playing guitar with a nice slinky feel, good punch in the bottom end that's also pretty tight and focused, just enough honk in the mids to keep single note fat with lots of good harmonic overtones, without covers on the pickups there seems to be a bit more bite in the upper mids and top end for great clarity.
