Members jhorne
From what I can tell, it is exactly the same as what you'd expect from them any other day of the year, except they're calling it an 'expo'. Pretty much same concept they use for their 'sales' every weekend.

Members epi56ebony
The are trying to increase their used section so they don't have to buy as much new inventory. The mark up is many times better on used than new and since this is the beginning of the year they want to have less new inventory. In the last 3 years GC's used section has markedly increased. I also heard they lost 200 million last year so there's less money to spend too. Craigslist is slow (from what I gather on this forum) so maybe people are biting the bullet and bringing their gear to GC. Took me 8 months to sell a shell pink 60's classic mim strat. But I did sell it and got the premium price I felt a discontinued shell pink guitar should get.
