Members MarkBastable
Take a look at this.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gibson-1974-Les-Paul-Custom-With-Twist-Pre-Owned-/190641389070?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2c631cbe0e
Members Belva
Neatly done and could, with a different middle pup, be almost convincing enough to make people scratch their heads wondering if it came from the factory that way.

Members Guitar Heel
If I cared more about the original, I'd say sacrilege. Certainly not an improvement, but if it made the owner happy at the time, then sure.
Members Bbreaker
What's with all the inlay stuff and headstock inlay? Not.
Members Skyforger
Eh, looks cool enough. Though there is a point where you can go a bit over the top with inlays. If you're gonna have a custom one, 12th and, if applicable, 24th frets are the place to do it in my humble opinion. But I'm digging the headstock, it's just those inlays that let it down. Members riffy
Hmmmmmmmm, shrooms in the inlays. A cannabis leaf on the headstock inlaid. I think this was a *stoner* rock guitar... but for that coin, nah... I don't think so for me... Besides, that middle pickup is pretty badly routed as well. Members tim gueguen
My guess is some previous owner saw a Les Paul Artisan, liked the idea, but decided if they were going to have fancy inlays put in they might as well have their own version instead of those of a straight Artisan. For reference see the following. http://www.lespaulforum.com/slubarticle/artisan/artisan1.03.html
