Who makes finished/unfinshed tele bodies with binding that fit standard fender parts?

Well, for "cheaper", you want to stay finished. Just having to tape and scrap the binding is a bitch and needs to be done by someone who knows what they are doing, typically it's a $75 upcharge per binding (so $150 extra plus finishing costs for a double-bound Tele body).

 

Keep an eye out for a used import body or even guitar you can get cheap.

Allparts do double bound Tele bodies, think we still got some resellers on this forum, think the do black, red or CAR and bursts

 

They are pricey, I could get a whole tele for that much.

Never buy directly from Allparts, a generous Allparts dealer will discount 25%-40% off of what Allparts charges direct.

 

Since you can't find what you want at the price you want, you may have to settle or pay more.
