The neck does not feel bad at all..rolled edges, a piece of rosewood on Mahogany. It's a bolt on, so maybe I'll put it on one of my strats to piss some purists off. Will that intonate? It probably won't intonate, but that does not mean you can't have some fun with your newly-invented scales. Swap necks between the two, string them both up with cheap strings, and leave it that way for a bit. Report the results to us. PS: I wouldn't bother swapping pickups. If the Epi Special was made in the past 4 or 5 years (look at its serial numbers), I'm willing to bet that the pickups presently in your 10 dollar Epi are the same as your Epi Dot pickups.
