Cross your fingers boys and girls!

I got a line on an MIJ Squier Strat w/hsc for $120!

Hope to have it by noon today if my seller doesn't flake!

Will post this afternoon if it works out. Unless there's something really wrong with it, it's easily worth double that, maybe triple.

Luck ti ya, Paddy, but it seems like a step down from most of your other gits.
:confused::wave:

Nope, not really. The MIJ Squiers are very decent guitars. I formerly had a MIJ Squier Tele that was my main axe for a couple years:

I only sold it when I lucked into my '52 RI. As you can see, it was visually very similar to a butterscotch blackguard.

My P-bass, which I picked up for a Benjamin from a friend c. 1989, is also a MIJ Squier. No need to upgrade at all:

At any rate, moot for the time being, about an hour before I was supposed to swing by, seller texted that something had come up and she had to leave for the weekend but would contact me on return. ARRGH!

Thought they were made of plywood?

Nope. Not sfaik anyhow. The MIJ Squier Tele above had a grain-through finish, and it certainly was not plywood. You may be thinking of the Squiers that came after the MIJ, the Korean Squiers. I have heard that about the MIKs (though I couldn't confirm) but never about MIJ Squiers.
