The SB-30 was one of those double-cut neck thru kind of Les Paul like models? I would play it as much as you can to see if you bond with it. I don't know about the $400 pricetag. The guitar has a little bit of fretbuzz on one of the higher frets, electronics are scratchy etc...I can fix all those things easily but it should get the price down for me. More info is available at: http://www.g3h.be/wings/ I've never tried the reissues but the earlier through neck models are equally as good as the equivilent Yamaha SG2000s.
