High voltage + low amps won't kill you

Low voltage + high amps won't hurt you either because it won't penetrate your skin. You need around 90 volts or more for that. If it has a lot of amps from point on it can kill you. The amount of power you get is basically volts X amps.

Super high voltage + low amps will scare the {censored} out of you and {censored} you up, but it won't kill you.

I think you need to learn ohm's law.

He paraphrased ohm's law in the very post you quoted: "The amount of power you get is basically volts X amps."

Seems like he's got a handle on it? idn_smilie.gif

Now, there may or may not be other things he needs to learn...

Ohm's law involves current, resistance and voltage.

However, since they did not specify wat kind of computer, my best guess woud be an old eMac OR a monitor. News folks probably do not knw the diff, but, a tube display capacitor can bounce yer ass to Jesus toot sweet.
Pretty much. Shorting capacitors is unlikely to kill you, but it will {censored} components. That said, I'm pretty sure I read that a few mA across the heart can kill you? Voltage, as someone said, will merely leave you feeling... Fried.
