I have some admittedly ridiculous prejudice against anything with a glossy finish. It is a holdover from being mainly an acoustic/orchestra musician. I was set on getting a newer 335ish guitar after deciding I couldn't mess with my vintage Gretsch, which is still all original, to make it sound moderner, but I couldn't find much in a 335 with a matte finish so...

Got this Dot, got it plek'd and had some Railhammers put on it.
