Members Alexilaiho
I have a peavey sc-2 and the bridge pickup when you switch to it from the neck to the bridge it comes out like a whisper and you have to strum like your trying to kill it to make it put out any volume
Members Chordite
This is the fourth 'weak pickup' thread this week. Maybe there is a guitar virus going around. The circuitry is usually pretty simple to check out, however the SC-2 does feature something called "treble-compensated volume controls" Not sure what that would do if it went out of whack. Members Mr.Grumpy
It's more likely to be a problem with the pickup switch or the the bridge pickup's volume control. The pickup itself doesn't have any moving parts so there's not much to go wrong. If your volume control doesn't make scratchy noises through your amp when you turn it, then it's probably not the volume control, so that means the pickup switch is the prime suspect. I don't really like the design of the LP style pickup switch, it is vulnerable to dirt and dust. You can try 'exercising' the switch by flipping it back and forth several times...or take off the little cover and try blowing the dust out.
