Members JMR
So, one of my favorite cymbals of all time is a Paiste 2002 24" ride or crash. How does the alpha version compare?
Members 1001gear
Just one question. Why so big?
Members JMR
I like big cymbals. The 24" paiste ride/crash is a staple in hardcore punk and post rock bands. It cuts through as a ride with plenty of stick, and you can really bash out 1/4 or 1/8 notes on it.

Members JMR
I'm also planning on getting Zildijian sweet ride soon. Also, a new hi hat bottom. I've been using my old Paiste PST 5 14" thin crash as a hi hat top, and I like it a lot more than I thought I would. My only nice cymbal right now is an 18" Sabian AA Sound Control which I really like. It's got a big sound and is good for a lot of different styles. It rides really well, and because of the flat-flanged edges, it's great for crescendos. My friend has 21" armand that he brought over and it mixes pretty well with the sabian, I'm getting the sweet ride because it's slightly different and gets exactly what I want. Add a 24" paiste, and I'd be set.

Members JMR
I've never owned one before. I haven't really played them too much. I'm a huge fan, however, of Paiste's6022002 / Giant Beatand the Twenty series and the Sigs are cool, as well. I hope the 602s aren't too expensive when they hit the stores.
