Members yanktar
You sing very well. I like your voice and tonal quality. But there are much more interesting lyrics than the Animals rather pitiful take on Woody Guthrie's cover. That's this:http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?2878756-House-of-the-Rising-Sun# But the really powerful one, that I think you could model really well is this one, by Ronnie Gilbert of the Weavers, with fellow members Fred Hellerman and the late Erik Darling backing her. Gilbert's voice was a strong rich contralto. Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary, was heavily influenced by Gilbert. Almost as powerful, is, naturally, Odetta's version, near the end of her life. And they probably all learned it from this guy, Leadbelly "King of the 12-String" who taught Woody, Pete and the Almanac singers and later Weavers his stuff.: Other people are more qualified to comment on your guitar work than me. Members Masklin
Are you playing the E7 chord, rather than plain E Major?
Members 1001gear
Hi. Nice tone but too long and drawn out. Good practice drill maybe. in producer voice: Sing the _words_ baby. I don't know a whole lot about actually singing. Ignore if you like.

Members SARIT_ALONI
Hi Jewels! I saw your profile also on another forum, but only navigating here get to hear you sing..(I don't spend much usually in forums...) I liked your voice but specially your music spirit and passion, which I think it is a very important element for singers. I do think though that you should learn how to protect your voice that it can stay this young for long years by learning how to use breathing support and how to do also a good warm up before you sing. Of course that working on technique might give you the possibility to sing high notes easier, and let your vocal range grow.. Good luck and keep doing ! House of the Rising Sun is one of my must sing songs It's just an all around amazing song in general, and a song that I believe can show some range along with control from going soft to loud.
