Members bassman1956
Well, do you? Curious. When you hear yourself played back. What do you think? My office roomie and I were talking about this. I vary, from mildly don't care for mine at times, to can't stand it other times when I hear it recorded. But I've been told that it sounds good when I speak over a PA system. So, On a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being No Way! I sond like BOALG's mom at the wrong time!and 5 being I'm Sinatra Baby! Gimme Las Vegas! And then there's the last choice, No Opinion, means you just don't give a ratzzazz.

Members noguud
I feel like a 2. I got the Kermit the Frog thing going on when I hear myself recorded sometimes.
Members greenshag
mine is alright, but I find it funny that even after 16 years of smoking, drinking, being reckless with it, my voice is still sort of higher pitched than the standard guy..... Members 1tallbassguy
I do okay.I've been told by many folks in the business that I have a very legible clean, and broadcast quality voice. Lets get ready to rumble!!!
Members zachoff
Depends on the setting, but I can generally hold it together for the most part. I'm pretty out of practice these days though.
Members caseyg1986
Whenever I hear my voice, it always sounds nasaly.
Moderators ThudMaker Posted July 4, 2007 Moderators Share Posted July 4, 2007 My voice is very thin, so as a lead singer I don't think it's good. Since I harmonize well, that thinness comes in handy, becasue it allows me to be a backup without getting in the way of the lead singer.
Members beam
I feel the same way most people probably do. I think I sound a hell of a lot better in my head than I do when I actually hear it played back to me

Members el_duderino676
Meh, I don't really care. It sounded like {censored} before I started smoking, and it definitely doesn't sound any better now.
Members davis1
today-unsatisfiedyesterday-unsatisfiedthe day before-yeah.. It'll take me a lot of practice to get used to singing in a PA but I sound alright while playing guitar..

Members Guttermouth
i'd have to say i'm a negative 6 on this one. i absolutely hate my voice on tape.it sucks.
Members Gruntollio Bass
It's kinda weird for me. If I sing acoustically I reckon I sound fairly ordinary, but singing into a mic and being amplified through a PA, it sounds much better. Strange............ Members bnyswonger
It took me a long time to get used to hearing myself and then to try to do something worthwhile in a recording situation. I don't profess to be any great singer, but I can my own tunes across to an extent.
Members PrestiaRules
I have a decent speaking voice that people seem to like (had a fair amount of recording work for voice overs and text books) but when i hear my singing voice (and I use the term losely) it makes me want to run away and hide my head under my blankets..... Members CAPTAINAMAZING
I don't like my voice though I am growing to not hate it but I have had several compliments though I used to be a terrible singer I'm at least decent now.
Members Death Hands
Meh, who cares? I can pull backup okay, but I've got zero training, so I'm pretty sharp most of the time.
