Members Gaui
2-3 times a month. Bars over here charge way to much , 10$ for a beer, 15$ for a gin and tonic , so I usually get drunk at other places.

Members bassred
My new Part time job has me working from 5 PM to 10 PM, an I'm usually pretty tired after that, but there is a bar right outside our showroom in the casino.... I've found that a $25.99 bottle of Jameson at home can get me that taste of whiskey that I like to have on occasion... Besides gigs, my band will get together once a month (if we ren't playing every weekend) for BAN, or Band Appreciation Night, it's where we go to our regular joints and check out the other bands.... not to be too mean, some of them aren't very good..... so we come out appreciating one another a lot more... Moderators Kindness Posted September 30, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 30, 2007 I am at bars when I am playing or I am seeing other bands play. That's it.
Members __tony__renaud
I've forgotten more bar gigs than most people have ever actually played. I look at bars the same way a guy who used to flip burgers looks at a McDonald's -maybe with a little affectionate nostagia, but with no desire to spend any more time there than I have to. Eight years of sobriety has a lot to do with that, though, along with age and experience. Been there, done that. These days, I never socialize at bars and will look for any lame excuse not to go to one. Here in the Twin Cities, the variety of live entertainment will pull me out of the house and into a drinking establishment, but it'll have to be on the order of a Henry Rollins spoken word show or a guy like Michael Bland. Members Jateca
Well, I'm a student living within 2 minutes of my favourite bars/pubs, so at a conservative estimate I'd say 5-6 times a week. Also, that's not counting popping in for a pint between lectures during the afternoon.

Bottles are normally the same price as a pint also. Some places have specials on some nights where you could get a beer for about $4.
Members lyricpoet
The only time I go to a bar is when my band is playing at one. +1:thu: I quit alcohol (ethanol. ethyl-alcohol) 10 years ago when I dumped all my vices (except nicoteine related products-damn!) Correct that: I will have one beer with friends or when I am out to dinner. I kinda thought this thread was leading towards "hanging out in bars and furiously drinking", which I did like a champ at one time.
Members T. Alan Smith
A couple times a month, usually for a couple pints and some pub grub. Max's Fanno Creek Brew Pub has their Oktoberfest this weekend, and I'm hoping I can convince Mrs. Thumper to go there tonight for supper. +1 here. Members Funkee1
Y'know.......it's a funny thing, but If I don't have a gig, I hardly ever darken the doorway of a bar.
