Members guitargod0dmw
They are all pretty sweet...cept' for that Fenfer. Personally, I'd go with the Modulus, but the others are really nice as well. I've never played the Lakland or the Bacchus, so my opinion is purely based on what I know. Members t3ch
So in your opinion, which would you go for? They are all about the same price except for the the 62 re-issue, which is a fair bit cheaper. Sorry no BOALG option because this is important... I am personally leaning heavily toward the Bacchus 5, and even more so to the DJ4. Bacchus Japan 02 WOODLINE 5 (New) Lakland Darryl Jones 4 (New) Modulus VJ4 (Used) Fender Japan 62RI Jazz (Used) The answer seems pretty clear. Members JacieFB
I would go for the Jazz bass. ahem. The '62 reissue isn't my favorite, but it is the only Jazz bass you listed, so it's my pick!
Members REMUS
There is but one option, young one... choose wisely! So the fender it is then! If i'm not careful... and I don't keep myself in check... i'll end up with the Bacchus, Lakland and Modulus by the end of the week I'm going to run some figures tomorrow on my income and expenditure for november, I think I can squeeze in two of those basses... Members Mr.Mow
To contact Ikebe send a mail to tsuji@ikebe.co.jp he appears to be their international sales agent.. but a word of warning.. I don't know anyone who has actually completed a sale with Ikebe, so good luck. (He does speak english) You best bet is to either check out one of the Ebay Japanese Bacchus dealers (do a search for Bacchus, there are about 3 dealers by the look of it) or go through http://www.japanvintageguitars.com/ who are the Australian importer, they do sell overseas (I'm not far from them), they have been very good to me so far. Members L-1329
How could anyone screw ugly plexiglass over THAT top! This is all that's wrong with bassists tody. A bass as gorgeous as that and they STILL can't help but to uglify it with useless plastic slabs and pup covers. That bass would KILL with an uncovered top and pup. KILL I tell you!
