Members Dallas852
...what are the best Precision pickups and Jazz pickups. I have a bass and was considering upgrading the electronics. Nothing anytime soon, but would like to get some ideas. Right now I just have a stock SX P/J bass and I'm starting to like playing it a lot more than my guitar. I'd like to upgrade, get a new bass one of these days. Any ideas/opinions would help.

Members fretless
yup Fender's are great , I would say Seymour Duncan also , but make sure you get the correct size for the bridge . I would also recommend Dimarzio Split P for a killer Humbucker
Members Darkstorm
Likes Dimarzio the best myself. With Seymor Duncans as 2nd choice and for basses that are a bit overly bright as the Seymors have bit more top end then Dimarzios to my ears. Members Thumper
Aero and Nordstrand if you like the tone and can afford them. Lindy Fralin winds some good pups. I have a set of Blues Specials in my...ahem...Strat. They sound awesome. I have Duncan Basslines SPB-1 and STK-J in my '79 Franken-P/J. I've got nice vintage tone with very little noise from the J pup soloed. I have a set of Fender Vintage Stacked Coil pups in my MIA '62 Jazz reissue. Again, great tone, little noise, and they keep the vintage vibe of the bass.
