Members faileddrummer
Hopefully my bassist decides to stand behind mny drum kit. Then all the pretty ladies can look at me .
Members Bryan316
I usually want my bass rig next to the drummer so he can hear me nice and loud, and when I need to noodle or play careful parts I just take a fat step backward and concentrate on locking with him. But most of the time, I'm just a foot or two behind my microphone.
Members bluedogaudio
hi-hat side of the drummer, so we can communicate.
Members BottomHeavyKate
I used to always set up my amp stage left but I wandered all over the place. I was a very active on stage. Don't worry so much about your stage presence though. It will come but only through experience and practice. Practice in front of a mirror is always good so you can see what you are doing. Practice your songs without looking at the frets.
Members moogieotter
Practice your songs without looking at the frets.+1I use one of those blindfolds to help people sleep on planes. Mainly to help my ears and fingers work together without my eyes messing it all up.

Members Flatball
I always like to be on the hi-hat side of the drummer. First, it's better for communication with the drummer and second, it keeps my ears away from the crash cymbals.
Members RSBro
To the right of my singer. So basically I'm right in the middle, and any pics that are taken of him, I'm usually in!
Members zachoff
Either in front of the microphone or to the left of the drummer, depending whether or not I'm singing too.
Members -Ryco
I prefer standing on the high hat side. But I'll set up anywhere.I don't like having a guy between me and the drums, but it has happened.I guess drums are my security blanket.
Members JC Bass
If you are looking at the stage....I usually stand to the right of the drummer. However, at church, I'm to the left of the drummer.

Members greenshag
stage left, tried with this band stage right, and it threw me off all night. With my old industrial band, I used to play stage right just fine for some reason...

Members soul-x
Ideally, on the hat side of my drummer. Practically, any space where there is room to stand and other people in my band are not occupying.

Members Sugarskull
I stand stage left turned slightly in to face the crowd. hihat side. My drummer naturally looks towards his hihats so it's in my best interest to be in his line of sight. If something ever happens to the sound, he can still see my fingers and with him being on my right, I only have turn my head slightly to catch his eye for big changes and finishes. Members Melville
I like to stand where I can communicate with the drummer the easiest. For the most part that's been stage left (hi-hat side for right handed drummers), but I've played stage right a few times. And I've also done the "it's rehearsal so let's set up in a circle so we can see each other" thing - but not in al ive performance setting.
