Members garytees
I know that. I did some research as well and played it at the local store: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Bass+Amp/product/Ampeg/Micro-VR+Head/10/
Members oldivor
Call me a hieratic but that doesn't really sound like a SVT to me. Could be the recording though.
Members Thrustin
It looks cool. I have heard good things, but no tubes makes me wonder.

Members garytees
I don't care about tubes. I played a Sunn 200s with 2 JBL D140's for years and loved it. I just like the sound and portability of this little baby. Still got my Yorkville XM100C and Fender Bassman 150 if I need it. I'm too old to carry heavy stuff and prefer to line/DI out for bigger gigs.

Members oldivor
Nonsense, Could is a very import word in that sentence. Personally I don't mind hauling around a 90 pounds amp.

Members W33nie
What pickups are in that jazz bass?
Members garytees
If you're asking about the bass in my pic, it's a Japanese 60's 'Apollo' bass with some kind of humbuckers or whatever they put on them. Nice old funky sound with dead strings and short scale. Not sure what the guy in the video has.
