Moderators ThudMaker Posted February 29, 2012 Moderators Share Posted February 29, 2012 Sad news. In this day and age 66 seems a little young. Seemed like a genuinely cool dude and I grew up with the Monkees re-runs on TV in the early 70's, along with other great shows such as Love American Style, etc. Anyway, the band sure did put out some classic songs that will be remembered for many decades. http://www.cnn.com/2012/02/29/showbiz/obit-davy-jones/index.html?eref=rss_showbiz

Members MillenniumBlues
I loved watching reruns of the Monkees when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s. Jones had tons of charisma and was a natural frontman, regardless of the constant accusations on his lack of musical ability. Tonight I was sitting with my wife and one of her girlfriends and they both commented on how good-looking he was.... "Last Train to Clarksville" is a classic!
