This was in the 1990's, but Taunton was still kicking it old school. Good times.well, that could have been a pretty substantial amount of power available, couldn't it. I was kind of dreading it, but we had a nice polite listening crowd, a few dancers, and we got nice applause. We even had a request for an encore, which we had to decline because the city police told us we had to stop playing at 10 because of noise ordinances. Really a nice pleasant gig. Yeah, I was once given grief by the leader of a band I auditioned for because the bass amp I took was a 1200 watt (@ 2 ohms) hybrid (Sunn 1200S). I had to point out that, yeah, but I'm playing thru a single 8 ohm cab (still a hefty 600 watts or so) but my master volume is on about point 8!
