Members Mastersonics
I saw those awhile back and they really interesting but sooo expensive. That would be the ultimate backdrop! cheers,Charles
Members soundlight
Bill showed me a video of this stuff when I was at his place last week, and it was amazing. You can step on it, pour water on it, roll it, fold it, hang it, etc. The ideal thing for this stuff would be to have it hanging from a piece of that V-truss that he posted about a while back, and then you can just roll it up in to the truss so that the truss also protects it for travel. And I was pleasantly surprised at the prices, as well!

Members Johnny Lightboy
In a word . . . YES. It's rated at ip54. Is it the same as this? Members Mastersonics
These should come down in prices pretty soon I hope. The cutthroat competition in China makes all of these new products to come down in price fairly fast. Once they do I'm there for sure..... cheers, C
Members ned911
Bill what is the MAP on these?
Members BillESC
The screens are currently made to order and price is dependent on size and pixel density. For example, a screen approximately 5' x 7' with a pixel spacing of 50mm will run around $ 2500.00. If the density is increased to 20mm the cost will approach $ 8000.
Members anothertxn
Hmm...that would be a very nice choice over a projector depending on brightness. Would this be able to compete on stage with a decent sized LED lighting rig?
Members BillESC
Certainly. It is a LED rig and the LEDs are pointed directly at the audience. Screens with the higher densities offer up to 16 brightness levels.
Members kevinnem
to be honest, that is much cheaper then I would have expected.
Members BillESC
I agree. When you consider the cost of a professional fast fold screen, a 3000+ lumen projector (with replacement lamps costing $ 400+) and the difficult set up situations focal distance require, the LED screen is almost a no-brainer. Members anothertxn
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll be on the market for one of these next year when we've saved up enough cash to bump up the production values a bit. It's definitely a more interesting option than going with a projector.
