Members SoundMan
First of all, let me say, I'm not posting this as a BOSE slam. I just stumbled across this in a car audio forum, and thought you guys might be interested in reading it. I don't know what qualifies the writer as an expert, so take it for what it's worth. It actually doesn't have much to do with Pro Audio, as much as it does BOSE as a company. BOSE This also may explain some of the skepticism of the group toward the PAS. Members tlbonehead
Personally,I think the over-hyped Bose car stereo system sounds like but. Typical Bose tone.
Members J the D
No highs, no lows. It must be Bose.
Members dirtyragamuffin
I had a Bose "premium" factory installed system in my last car, a Nissan. It sounded like paper Bad drivers, bad amps, blech. The CD player and tape deck functioned well, though. Dunno who actually made them, the headunit had the Bose logo on it. Members IsildursBane
For $500, the Wave Radio is an overpriced alarm clock. I bought my folks one for christmas a couple years ago. Christmas morning, they plug it in and start playing some cd through it. All I could think was "I'm paying $50 / month for the next 10 months for this?" -Dan. CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted January 16, 2004 CMS Author Share Posted January 16, 2004 I've got a pair of 301's that are about 15 years old. Maybe the two places I've used them just happened to be ideally suited to the response, but they sound excellent. Sadly, I've not heard any other Bose product that did nearly as well, and the prices they charge are simply ridiculous.
