Members btb&dr=tone
I know I can spend countless amounts of money on these things. I have found some options I like in a few of them, but I need to know if I need to stay clear of them or not. This OR

Members mtmra70
I have the Samson RTA in my portable setup just as a RTA and it introduces noise if inline (everything balanced). I would probably stay clear of the Samson stuff. Can you afford Ashley?

Members The Real MC
You should steer clear of both of them unless 1) you like noise, 2) you like slidepots that do anything but EQ, and 3) you like throwing $$$ away on gear that goes into chronic failure. There is a reason these things are cheap. He can't spell SPEND either...

Members btb&dr=tone
DBX ????
Members Crownman
DBX ???? The DBX231 eq's are great for the money IMO. I started using one recently and it's very quiet and doesn't seem to color the sound any.
Members g4string
Check out the Peavey ones as well - good quaity to value ratio. The new ones have FLS on board now (FLS - feed back locating system).
Members jwlussow
Peavey or dbx and you will be unmeasurably happier with your purchase. I know of the Behringer problems but that is the first I've heard about Samson's.
Moderators ThudMaker Posted December 10, 2007 Moderators Share Posted December 10, 2007 If you run sound from stage, you'll really appreciate the Peavey with FLS. It makes it easy to ring out the monitors and if you do get some feedback while your band is playing it's easy enough to see the frequency that's causing the problem. I love mine.
