Members Al Poulin
Since B-52 generally makes affordable entry level gear (mostly speakers and a few all-in-one systems), I would imagine their amps would be of similar entry level gear quality. Not that this means they are necessarily bad, but - given the ultra low price of electronics these days, might as well spend a few dollars more and buy an amp from a company known for their amps. Companies such as QSC, Yamaha, Peavy, Crown etc... Check out QSC's GX3 qand GX5 amplifiers. Best bang for your buck out there with a sweet warranty as well! Al - Party-Time! Members agedhorse
Any good? They look like they were modeled after the QSC plx series. They have no relationship whatsoever to the QSC PLX product other than a little cosmetics. They are closer to the GX or RMX series as far as topology goes. Members TimmyP
I recently heard tracks and a gospel Quartet through a B52 sat/sub system (all of the poweramps were in the sub). It sounded pretty good. Dunno how it would do on live instruments, but for this application it was a fine choice.
