Members madball24
If my amp has limiter settings of -3, -6, -12 and I have it set at -6 and it clips once in a while should I change the limiter to -12 would that help it?

Members dboomer
It depends on the amount of power that you want to limit the speaker to ... not the amp.

If so setting it lower will make it easier to hit .

If so setting it lower will make it easier to hit . My thoughts too. If the OP is limiting at -6dB, it would have made more sense for him to get a smaller amp (say 1/2 the size) and limit at -3dB. It's a cheaper and equiv. solution.
