Members Unalaska
They are the TXD252's, dual 15+1.5". I think I'm going to use them on an outdoor gig series this summer (6 shows) and they need some paint. At this point a can of flat black is what I'm looking at. I'm not going to waste the good duratex on them... ideas?

Members The Chinese
BTW, How do you get the grills off them too?? Pry em out with an awl or similar tool. The grill is just held in with tension in the groove.

CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted June 2, 2010 CMS Author Share Posted June 2, 2010 Preparation is 99% of any paint job. Before paint: Remove the grille. Mask off the drivers, jackplate and horn opening. Use mineral spirits to remove electrical/gaff/ductape residue. Wash them with soap and water. Final degrease with TSP. Scuff the coating with 220-grit paper.
