Members techristian Posted September 22, 2015 Members Posted September 22, 2015 If you are in the Windsor / Detroit area next Saturday Sept. 26 I'll be showing off my floating snares. I have to do this, because I don't have microphones capable of capturing all of the nuance of these phenomenal drums. Members Dendy Jarrett Posted September 22, 2015 Members Posted September 22, 2015 You need to send one to HC to have a review written about these awesome looking drums! D
Members techristian Posted September 23, 2015 Author Members Posted September 23, 2015 This is one that I just finished today. I've taken it up a notch....OAK with a little extra work on the lugs. Dan
Members Dendy Jarrett Posted September 23, 2015 Members Posted September 23, 2015 Looks great - how is the strainer mount attached to the lugs? Is it welded or does it clamp on? D
Members techristian Posted September 24, 2015 Author Members Posted September 24, 2015 It is welded...the only way I could think of at the time. Screws could get loose and rattle. If I went with screws the strainer and butt end would need to be an inch higher, which may work on this drum, but not on one of my 4.25" shallow snares. This shell is 5.7" deep. Dan
Members techristian Posted September 25, 2015 Author Members Posted September 25, 2015 Update !! My neighbor will also be bringing over a Dixon 13"X4" Maple snare and a DW 14"X5" Copper snare. https://www.facebook.com/events/405420559661418/
