Members Coolie No.1
might sound like a stupid question, If a whole note takes 4 beats (1 measure), half hote 2 , quarter 1 and so forth, how many beats does a note occupy in a triplet and the triplet in total? Any suggestions for a basic book on time signatures, tempo and timing in general? Thanks
Members Virgman
A triplet is 3 notes in place of 2.If you were playing quarter note triplets you would play three notes in the space of two quarter notes.16th note triplets would be six notes in the place of four 16th notes.Etc.For more info Google "music notation" on teh webs.
