Members burton4snow
Looking for examples or a lesson plan that impliments the use of Chords with little Riff emblishments between the chords in a chord progression. Something in the style of Blues, blues rock or rock. It could be a book cd combination or something on YouTube or a program by somebody. Thanks can't seem to find this anywhere. People are just teaching chord progressions or solos
Members burton4snow
I don't think there is anything like this out there. I have bought about 100 or more books in my search for this and the only thing that came close was Troy Stetina's Metal Rhythm books and Total rock guitar. Members c+t in b
steve khan's chord concepts has ideas for chord comping in fresh voicings. There's a book called the 333 book that contains a lot of cliched riffs from many styles. I'd figure out how to combine books that focus on either method into one. Riffs are essentially just melodies. Sometimes with double/triple stops.
