Members gregovertone Posted August 27, 2005 Members Share Posted August 27, 2005 my trusty gibson explorer. black.s#82289525 pair of EMG 85's set up with 13s. tuned C#. when i got it, it had 9's on it--and there was fretbuzz on the 6th string between 5-9. tech said it had a overbow on the bass side, and a minimal underbow on the treble side. he tweaked it, but there was still a little buzzing. i set it up for metal, threw 13s on it--and it has been good to me ever since. i dont know that id put 9s on it again though. i think it likes the tension. with gig bag.$600 + shipping.
