Members KjStrat62
I am using this as a distortion pedal. Is this the right idea or should i use it as a preamp pedal to set the stage for another od/dis pedal?? Using the gt-2 as a main distortion pedal sounds really good. Any ideas?? Members Wilbo26
If it sounds good just go with it. Some people use it as a preamp or for direct recording, but I think using it as a distortion pedal is a common use for it.
Members bjjp2
I use it as a pedal in front of my amp and it's my favorite pedal.
Members rushtallica
You might want to try running it into the fx loop return and see if it gives better results, even if you like how it works currently in the front of the amp. Members stratboy151
i used to have one of these and a bass player friend of mine started using it. he dissapeared and i havent seen him or the pedal since. i loved it tho and will hopefully re-buy it one day. in the meantime my jeckyll and hyde does all the sounds i used to achieve with the GT2
Members JBJ
its brilliant just how natural it sounds. i love the kinda sag you get on the bass frequencies. makes it sound like you're running through a 4x12.
Members chump5150
Yup, the "sag" on the bass frequencies on both the GT-2 and the Classic is just... delicious.
Members duderanimous
I've had a few over the years and always used it as a dirt/distortion pedal.... never as a preamp. Awesome pedal for heavy overdrive, classic rock, and metal
Members rockstrongo
I love mine. I've had it through 2 incarnations of the POD and a ton of other amp modelers. Needless to say, the GT-2 is the only amp modeler that I still have.

Members KjStrat62
I am gonna use this pedal as my main dirt pedal. It sounds great. Gonna boost it with a Fulltone Fat boost. Nice thing is having many options of dirt sounds, Sold My Ibanez TK999 to get it. So far no second thoughts.
