Members Ivor The Engine Driver
Looking for that Tonebender fuzz/piercing sound for lead work... I've had the Yardbox and was very unimpressed with its volume output... but wondering if the Soulbender or one of the other ones can get the job done? Anyone have thoughts on using a Tonebender-derived pedal in this sort of application?
Members StompboxMan
Dan Coggns who designed all the Lovetone pedals has a new OD/Distortion pedal called the Tube Bender that IMO takes the place of the Tone Bender. www.dinosaural.com www.lovetone.com

Members telepaul
I love Bob McBrooms McFuzz Hot and hybrid. I would think his hc bent or bender over would be great and wouldn't hurt to much in the pocket. I've never tried one because the tonebender thing doesn't do much for me; I'm just going on how much I like his take on the fuzzface with his mcFuzz line.... Like a lot of vintage fuzzes, it doesn't offer a ton of voluime boost, I would search elsewhere, or drop a boost pedal behind the fuzz. Remember if you are using a master volume amp that is already dialed in fro preamp distortion, then you won't be able to boost the volume from in front of the amp. All you will do is add to the saturation. -Y,
Members mrbluetone
The Bender Over Under (Bent) has a huge volume already but with the added Bias Control it makes for a big loud sound and because of the Bias an amount of fuzz can be dialed in or out for lead work! Thanks man. This one is looking like the front-runner.
Members duderanimous
On a lot of these Tonebender / Fuzz Face (similar basic circuit)style pedals, just changing the volume pot from an audio taper to linear taper will help a great deal as far as not having to max the volume control to get a decent output
