Members hangwire
if a guitar has a lipstick and a p90 as pickups, what would the difference be betwene using a 250k pot verses a 500k pot?
Members vigor&kandor
500k would make the pickups sound brighter, let more highs through. 250k can make pickups sound less harsh, and warmer. Pots are the easiest way to adjust a guitars tone.

Members The Great Waldo Pepper
Your tone is affected by the control pots you use. Not just the tone control
Members 4STYXS
I find changing the capacitor on the tone pot to be the cheapest and most effective way to enhance the tone. The higher the cap value the more highs are bled off. Ichanged the cap on my strat neck pickup tone control from a .500 to a .300uf .Thatz the {censored}!
