250k vs. 500 k pots - what's the differences?

I find changing the capacitor on the tone pot to be the cheapest and most effective way to enhance the tone.The higher the cap value the more highs are bled off.
Ichanged the cap on my strat neck pickup tone control from a .500 to a .300uf .Thatz the {censored}!

500 waht? 300 what?

 

 

tone caps are usually around .22 uf

It's been a long time since i did it.I'd have to take the pick guard off to be sure.If your interested i will.

Im' pretty sure the original cap was a .500 and i changed it to a .300 uf.

Ive got a lot of compliments on the sound of the neck pickup since.
