Members NetStar
Just wondering, seeing as a lot of people have many different dirt pedals on their board, how many of you use one, or more, as your primary Drive sound?
Members T Stre
I play a Fender DRRI at about 3 (mic'd on stage), so I get all my drive from pedals.
Members comfortablynumb
I use a Bassman and a Hot Rod Deluxe both run clean so I get everything else from pedals.

Members Old Fart Rocker
I use my C50 set up clean and use pedals. Dirt channel sounds great cranked, but to f&*%$%&^ing loud for most places we play.
Members NetStar
Like the Newb I am, I have the clean channel of the Performer running with my SD-1 turned just before 9 o clock....that is my Clean sound. Then it's Gain 1 on the Drive channel + plus Pedal for the crunchy Drive.I don't really use Gain 2, but it's maxxed out just in case. And I use the Clean Channel+Ds-1 for my other tone.sounds crappyCheck it.I'll be proven horribly wrong, and they'll be talking about red wine right now...But it's what it's usually like. Members only_shallow
Yeah, I've got a {censored}ty amp and I have no money to change it, so, I use pedals. But I always kinda thought that the best sound is a cranked up marshall which doesnt break up, loud cleans, ftw. and then the sound can blend with the drive pedals that you have and create something ear shattering. Members NetStar
I like being to turn a dial near my foot, and have more or less gain on tap...
Members Funky Chowder
I like being to turn a dial near my foot, and have more or less gain on tap... If you do yoga, that dial can be on an amp.
Members NetStar
I know...But it also means my amp has...five channels.. And I a stupid sense, I don't like feeling they're obsolete.
Members avapxia
I always leave my FD2 on slightly above unity (CompCut). It gives the amp some life. As for drive I use the lead channel on my Mark III.
Members petejt
I prefer high gain amp distortion.
Members Gremson
Like most Fender-ish amps. The distortion built into my musicman isn't the greatest.I get all my dirt from my original Rat pedal.
Members DADGADammit
i only use amp distortion. i use my volume knobs a lot. the only dirt pedal i own is a tonebender fuzz

Members only_shallow
I never actually liked distortion channels on amps, they sounded too artificial, if i had to use my amps dist it would be breakup fuzz.
Members hilikus8
I use a RAT for my main distorted tones, I love it and like how I can change its place on the pedal board for different types of sound.
