Members veil
I would like a bassman or super reverb or vibroloux. I have this my and carrying this, and my rhodes is killing me. What a fun-looking setup.

Funny that . . . seeing that Jim Marshall based his 1st production model JTM45 on the origenal Bassman 5F6 ! IMHO a Tweed-era Bassman is the closest to a Marshall you will ever get (with that sexy sultry Bassman crunch . . . to die for )
Members SirJackdeFuzz
which is the one that sounds more like a marshall cranked? bassman? or all tweeds? - oh gawd yes !!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-nYAIuCYjI - not the best for a crunch sample ! Then you always get the classic "Big Muff into a Bassman 4x10 rig" !!! I love my Fender Amps
Members camelface
I definately can't get those thick tones out of my AA764 Champ, but I think I prefer the blackface era (over tweeds) for the shimmers. My favourite Fender amp would be one of those, one that overdrives nicely (more nicely than my champ).
Members Gremson
If I had the chance to choose my Fender, I'd go with a Super Reverb. But I don't, so I play an old Fender Super Twin Reverb. Still a great amp. 180 watts all tube. Weighs a metric {censored}-ton though.

Holy Cow, you have the 180W Super Reverb Does that moster break-up at all ? If so, where the hell is the vol knob ? Got any pic's ?
Members crispete
My 82' Princeton Reverb II is my favorite at the moment, but my Bassman LTD really has it goin on in the tone dept. too. Heres a youtube clip of the PRII if your interested and don't mind the backing track that I made.
Members zacheryhunter
Out of a few twins, a 68 super, 66 bassman, and 76 deluxe... for me, the deluxe wins without question. It's just perfect.

Got any pic's ? Haha, actually it's a Super Twin Reverb. Not a bad amp. It has a master volume, so I can set it to break up fairly easily, but I think it sounds best as a clean amp. Takes pedals extremely well. :poke:
Members metallica_00
What is your favorite Fender tube amp (head or combo) (30 watter +).I play lot of effects so an effects loop is appreciated. I also want an high gain/overdrive channel. I play mostly indie rock, post rock and new wave. I like it dirty. : Effects loop? High gain/overdrive channel? I think you're barking up the wrong tree. Members comfortablynumb
Super Reverb!!! Low enough wattage to get that tasty Fender overdrive going, plus 4x10 for a nice big full sound. Second choice would be a vibrolux, kinda similar but with half the speakers. I love my Bassman 100 w/ 4x10 cab halfstack, but a 4x10 Super Reverb would be just... You're probably better off staying away from fender if you're looking for a high gain channel with an effects loop. Sure they have some modern amps aimed at that kind of thing, but they're not the best at it. There are some people that will mod old bassman heads for effects loops and extra preamp stages, though... The EVIL TWIN, has a 100W/25W selection toggle (so use it on the 25W setting), and the GAIN CH is not that bad . . .

Yeah, they've got a few amps that could work, but their bread and butter (the reissues) and IMO their best stuff doesn't do what the OP wants... Members denimboy
Well I don't mind about high gain. I mean, I can get my overdrive with a pedal. However I do need an amp that takes effects (effects loop or not). Still in the Fender division.

Members tenoken
Deluxe Reverb is great, but it's only 22 watts. A Blues Deville is 60 watts, and a Twin is 80. From memory, I'm not sure about any others... Fender&EHX, you need a better photo of that amp!
