Members garyfanclub
honestly, I don't think mustangs are that great. I own a 1971ish fender comp. mustang, i only keep it because it's got sentimental value, it's far from a great guitar. My avri jag is a way better guitar in every respect. The mustang has a silly "A" neck which was okay for my hands when I was 14, pickups that sound pretty much dead, very thunky and low output, pretty much useless trem, I don't know. It's got vibe though. They're pretty though, I'll admit that, if I was playing exclusively rhythm i think it would be ideal. mustang porn (yes it's sitting on top of a vintage ampeg V4)
Members seajay
Mustangs seem pretty cool. I just wish Fender didn't insist on putting a vibrato on so damn many of their guitars. Also, I don't know how I would like the 24" scale.

Also, I don't know how I would like the 24" scale. it's pretty simple to turn it into a hardtail/fixed bridge, I like the scale but then both my Mustang and Jagmaster are short, so it feels fine to me....actually I love the neck, it feels perfect to me. I'm used to Gibsons. I don't really care for the Strat/Tele 25.5" scale but I'm curious as to how it would be to move 0.75" in the other direction (from Gibson scale). So melx, is that blue Mustang you posted a '69 Reissue?

If I were you, I'd get another pickgaurd and cut it for humbuckers and a switch, then send it all to one of those relicing places so it'll match the body. Members echodeluxe
i liked my 65 reissue, but i just didnt gel with it like i thought i would. i found that i like bigger body guitars, hence my obsession with the 335 body style and jazzmasters.
