Members goodhonk Posted July 24, 2008 Members Share Posted July 24, 2008 i bought an epi valve jr. on a whim recently. it has wonderful tube break-up, but was way too dark/muddy. i orderd an mxr 6 band eq about 6 weeks ago from MF. finally got the pedal last night and plugged it into the amp. i wasn't expecting much improvement, but wow was i wrong. that eq, or any other i'm sure, saved my amp. i think i might actually play this amp once in a while now. you guys were right, eq pedals are good. thanks.
