Members yeagermeister
I have a friend that is picking up piano, and I'd like to do something along the lines of making her a mix cd with some great piano music on it for inspiration. What do you recommend?

Members C#minor
Rachmaninoff- Piano Concertos. Following the same line of thought, I'd say Chopin Etudes. Very technical yet beautiful and tasty. They are easier to listen to than a complete concerto IMHO as each etude is only a few mins. long. For some Jazz, anything by Brad Mehldau is awesome, specially his "Places", "Live in Tokto", or "Day is done" CDs. Chick Corea has a few duet albums with Gary Burton (Xylophone, Vibraphone, marimba). My favorite is "Native Sense: the new duets". Great stuff.
