After 10 years away from playing live with a band I just got back into it and I hate not having at least a halfstack on both sides of the drum kit. I play rock, not crazy loud metal, just {censored}ing rock. How do you combo guys do it? Are you constantly miking yourselves or does your band play real soft or some {censored}?

I wanna feel it yo!

My solution is to play bass instead, then I always feel it :D But when I played guitar, I never played venues with more than like 60 people in them, and my 1x12 combo always sounded plenty loud on half volume... Even with very reinforced bass, bass drum, and a loud drummer.

My AC30 is plenty loud...

Yeah well here is my problem maybe... The only tube amps I have ever owned are the little 5 watters, Blackheart, epi, royal 8's , etc... I am currently using 2 120 watt SS halfstacks run clean getting my tonz from the pedal boardz, I do prefer it that way. Maybe if I just used 1 big ass tube amp it would work but this is cheaper and more reliable. snoogins.

I had an Orange AD30TC head w/ a 2x12 cab that when cranked could barely keep up w/ my friends Fender Hot Rod Blues Deville (that thing on 3 is mad loud!!!). Later, I was in another band w/ a guy who had the same fender and I had my Tremoverb w/ a 4x12 cab. He had no problems keeping up w/ me volume wise.

Ya know, I've noticed that AD30's really aren't all that loud...
