Members theinteriorleag
The vocoder is tearing up my pa speakers, but it is a fun unit. The harmonies will mock you if you are off pitch, but fortunately you can fade your voice out. Still messing around with it, need to test its tracking ability better, but it doesn't flub as much as the other units out there.
Members V
So...does it work well with a guitar too or only voice?

Members V
i'm pretty sure it works with guitar I suppose I'd just have to use a 1/4" to XLR converter, maybe.
Members needleTOink
I suppose I'd just have to use a 1/4" to XLR converter, maybe. nah, i think theres an instrument or something insert
Members theinteriorleag
It has xlr in and out for the mic, 1/4" for guitar. Some of the settings work with just voice, but most key off the guitar. Vocoder requires guitar, although I recommend playing in the upper frets otherwise the vocoding is extremely bass-y. Members jorhay1
from the site:"Sing, and you'll have a troupe of backup singers following you in perfect harmony. Or use the built-in vocoder to unleash classic synth-robot sounds."
Members orange worker
i just used a 10% off coupon i had on ebay in conjunction with best offer and scored one for $180 shipped. i'll report back when i get it next week. i can't wait to use the gender bender
Members theinteriorleag
the gender bender really doesn't alter the voicing very much at all...it is very subtle, unless mine is broke. On ebay, macdaddymusic, maybe a couple other places by now.
Members V
Wait so, if you plug into the instrument input, can you pitch shift your guitar signal, or is the instrument input only used for controlling the vocoder? Edit: Nevermind, I read the manual and answered my question. I would have to use a converter to plug a guitar in with another instrument used to control the pitch of the guitar. That could make for some interesting guitar duets, I'd imagine.
Members mark7171
It is an incredible pedal. You are linked to your instrument. Vocally its precise and awesome. The vocoder is worth $214 shipped alone. A little vocoder mixed in any song sounds nice. High + low setting is fine for Creed or Pearl Jam.
