Members companyman
Just finished watching the season finale and I must say that Vince Gilligan is making some of the finest television that I have ever seen. He did some great writing for the X-Files, but Breaking Bad is so moving and exciting and challenging!

Members companyman
It is so rare when writing, acting and creative photography come together in any project...let alone in TV. I haven't been this impressed since The West Wing!

Members TXBDan
This is quite possibly the best TV show i've ever seen in my life as far as the quality of writing, acting, and cinematography. Its fantastically done.

Members who235
My sister keeps telling me to watch Breaking Bad, but I haven't had the chance yet because I'm broke from buying gear and have no cable. I really need to see that show.

Ask you library. They often carry TV shows, and if you get to know the people well enough, and tell them how awesome it is, they'll probably buy it if they don't have it already. But most have The Sopranos, Deadwood, Mad Men, and then randomly a few others. After I'm done watching Mad Men, I plan on doing the same. I really want to see this show next. Saw the pilot, it was awesome.

Members who235
You're on the internet. I do not see a problem here. That's true. Let's say my lack of cable was also coupled with a lack of time in the last few weeks since I became aware of the show. Now that I have a little more time, I think I'll investigate my options. Members SpectralJulian
I like Breaking Bad. But with all the moral decay and despicable characters on the show, I really wish there was some redemption. Same with Mad Men. For the utterly loathsome characters in Dostoevsky's works (which are similarly horror and anarchy filled), there was still hope in characters that pushed the others towards redemption and those that become redeemed. For all the horrible characters, I'd like at least some voice of reason and goodness somewhere. Breaking Bad just seems utterly hopeless right now. Walt's hubris has made him into an incredibly loathsome person.Jesse is a hopelessly lost drug addict.Hank acts like all the death and everything around him is a joke when really he's very affected and disturbed by it. Hank's wife is a compulsive shoplifter. Skyler I'm pretty sure cheated on Walt in years past, and may do so again soon. Saul is a despicable lawyer. Members TXBDan
Its a tragedy no doubt. It is called "Breaking Bad" after all. The whole series is about the moral decay of Walt, ie breaking bad. ^^^There are two seasons. The second finished last night. There are plans for four seasons total. Members Disco Cat
I loved the show during the first season, and second season started ok, but it's gotten a little too ridiculous for me now. The circumstances have become far too un-genuinely soap opera-ish, and the forcibly determined negative string of events smell with vague connotations of a DARE advertisement. The show started off bold, but now it's bending over backwards to make the reverse statement. Is there more than one season of Breaking Bad? The first season is several years old now.Max Naw, the first season came out last year but was cut short due to the writer's strike. I couldn't wait after the first's finale for the second season to start, but now I'm indifferent towards the third.
