Members rydia is hot Posted October 11, 2009 Members Share Posted October 11, 2009 these are all gross generalizations: i like big bottle tubes like kts in high power amps that you can crank. for live band mix, el34s tend to sound fantastic once they get up and running. that said, i really, really love my maz 38 and it's el84 based. i think there's great amps using any of these tubes. not really a fan of 6v6s, though.
