Members kpd78
Idlewild - Post Electric Blueshow'd i miss this!!! it was quite a low key release and i don't think it's had an official US release yet.you should be able to get hold of it.another cool thing (for me anyway ), is that my name is on the 'Thank You' list in the album's sleeve. Members Fender&EHX4ever
I messed up my first post in this thread thinking it was another decade review, so I'll try again. First of all, I didn't even buy 10 albums released from this year. Have you guys seen the charts? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Billboard_Hot_100_top_10_singles_in_2009 I realize that this is just the POP charts, but seriously This music really sucks ass, and it's pretty indicative of how I feel about the music of these times. There isn't one well-written song on the damn list. Anyways, the 2 albums I bought in 2009 were Phoenix's Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix and Passion Pit's Manners. I really like both of those albums, but I wouldn't call either of them timeless classics that should rank among the immortals. It's pretty funny to me that both albums featured songs used in TV ads. I guess I have very commercial taste in music

Members SpectralJulian
Say What??? I thought Polvo's In Prism was the absolute best album of the year. The songs seemed to go on for decades while going nowhere, the production was horrible, the songs lack the energy of the pre-breakup Polvo stuff or the slightly out of tune guitars that I love so much. The vox were lacking of their awesome slightly wacky melodic hooks. Basically everything I love about Polvo was absent and everything I hate about new post-rock and math was present. About two good songs on the whole thing, and both of them drag on too long.
