Members juri Posted March 13, 2010 Members Share Posted March 13, 2010 depends largely on the type of overdrive pedal...something like a Tim/Timmy which is (usually tonally transparent) often works best after a fuzz or distortion.if it's an overdrive which really colours your tone (such as the way many ODs cut a lot of bass), then it usually works best first.so a good guideline for this theory would be that whichever (dirt) pedal allows the widest range of frequencies through should go last. Members JRBain Posted March 13, 2010 Members Share Posted March 13, 2010 I sometimes use my Double Muff with my SD-1. It sounds great, if a bit over the top. Crazy sustain. The top end is seriously muffled though, in any combination with the Double Muff: Anyone know why this is, particularly? The DM is always first in the chain as it doesn't like buffers.
