Tortoiseshell or White Pickguard on Olympic White Strat?

I need some opinions.

 

I am having a really hard time deciding on a either a tortoise shell or a white pickguard to go on my Olympic white strat. The guitar has a rosewood fretboard also.

 

I am leaning toward the tortoise shell, but if I see some convincing pictures of the white one I might change my mind.

Also, how do I find the spacing of the bridge? This one was made in India in the late to mid 80's if that helps any.

The only pickguard for an Oly White Strat is Mint. Tort is an abomination, a fad so horrendous that I can't wait till it's over.

and tortoise shell is not a fad...tortoise shell is awesome. the good news for the OP is that an Olympic White Strat is gonna look sexy with either guard...it's like asking if Halle Berry would look better naked in a mint green room or a reddish-brown room...you're gonna hit it either way.

I am the only one that thinks new, red tort gaurd look like garbage? The brownish ones are cool, but the red always looks lame. Vintage red on the other hand looks awesome.
