Members aplaneinphases Posted June 11, 2010 Members Share Posted June 11, 2010 I went and picked up the Apogee ONE today. It's just so pretty (Duet is prettier though). Installation was a breeze and it really is small and minimalistic. Haven't had time to really play around with it but might post a few clips later with the in-built mic. Members aplaneinphases Posted June 11, 2010 Author Members Share Posted June 11, 2010 Well, I managed to get some time with the ONE. Quick initial impressions... The minimalism is a BIG plus for me. Just a knob and an input may be limiting to some but really allows one to record more comfortably, imo. I also like the fact it has 48V phantom power incase I ever plan to mic my amp. I also tried the internal mic roughly and it was fairly good. I'm using a desktop so i couldn't get the unit close enough to the amp. However comparing with an SM57 thru a toneport, it held it's own IMO. I'll try to get some recordings of the internal mic if i can. Overall, i'm extremely happy with my purchase.
