Members naazrael
I found a good deal on an EHX Bass MicroSynth, but I'm wondering if it would sound okay on guitar. It says it's tuned for bass? Does anyone have an idea on how it would sound?
Members nankuamedha
It would work just fine, the main difference it that the filter is tuned to handle lower frequencies.
Members macadood
i was wondering this too, until i found a big box microsynth on CL - just got it and love it i think you should be ok with the bass one. id think you could easily mod it too to make it just like the guitar one

Well, hopefully I can check it out and just bring my guitar to see how it sounds.
Members WeStartToDrift
Steve Von Till from Neurosis uses a bass microsynth for guitar, it sounds pretty great.
Members SirBlend12
The main difference is that it will have bigger capacitors to handle lower frequencies. In that case, it will work fine with guitar. The only thing I can't really comment about is the filter section, which might be set somewhat low in the freq range but would probably also be fine. Members PermaNoobie
like the guys have pointed out - it's mainly filter tuning a lot of guys I've run into over the years actually like the bass ver better (for guitar) sort of like revoicing the classic crybaby wah a little lower for a "throatier" sound before it became a factory option with the selection switches, etc

Many people prefer Bass version for guitar, I did which is why I sold my big box guitar version.
