Members JMR
Came across this pedal today... has anyone played it? Is it a clone of something? Seems to be what I want, which is a TS-like pedal without a huge mid-hump.
Members southpaw pete
I use one. As far as I know it isn't a clone of anything. It's got a a flat eq - no mid hump - but a HUGE sound. Solid lows, open highs, it really works well as a mid gain od. As you can tell, I dig it. Lately I've been using my OCD as a low gain rhythm od, and stacking my Open Road into it for bigger drive or lead work. Really liking that combination. But it also works well on it's own. Members JMR
cool. Cause pedals with a mid-hump annoy me. I have to dial the mids back on my amp, and then my clean tone doesn't sound as good.

Members gambit
Just sold mine, but it is a decent pedal. I bought it after testing against a Rat2 and Turbo Rat and the Route 808. the rats lost too much low end, but the open road has a huge full range sound and can sound pretty tasty set as a low gain (virtually clean boost) and big OCD type distortion too. Very versatile pedal. Just turns out I was looking for a tubescreamer and all the big low end actually gets very messy when you use as much delay as I do

Members vegetablejoe
The Open Road is a back-up for my OCDv4. Serves me the same way, as a boost for crunch chords. Has a plexi-like setting for that type of lead tone. I like to use the VS Route 808 in front of the Open Road for soloing.

Members JMR
I wonder how a Dano TOD-1 and one of these would stack.
