Software vs. Hardware

seriously though, I couldn't agree more. I outlined the same argument in a brief editorial piece I wrote for my blog.

essentially, software is an investment of time and money in coaxing out a polished sound through buying extra presets, mastering tools etc.

 

Hardware is much more expensive and because it's tied to a proprietary interface, it seemingly offers a much better experience.

 

I think at best, it's only an illusion. Not taking about real analog here. Just romplers and VAs.
