Members placebo62
I'm not a huge fan of the really peaty scotches, so I tend to like most from the Campbeltown area. Very nicely refined, easy drinking whiskey with strong notes of sea spray. If you're into Old Fashioneds, I'm currently really enjoying Rittenhouse Rye, which is not expensive and readily available. Members vidnotlaw
I really enjoy Knob Creek Single Barrel 9 years aged. Enjoy, Vid
Members .homewrecker.
I'm glad no one has mentioned Maker's. Also if you're a fan of bourbon and port like me, you'll love this stuff: PA is a control state so I don't think you can have this shipped in (hell MD isn't and you still can't get it shipped in) but I really want to get my hands on this:

Members mr benn
If your treating yourself, id highly suggest you go for a bottle of Midleton I definitely prefer it to both powers and Jameson 12/18 year (I've a bottle of all three) Oh and cigars, you'll need a couple of those
Members Chugs
I usually like some Macallans or Glendfiddich but I picked up a bottle of Glenmorangie and it went down very well. Good stuff for a reasonable price.

Members reverberlayed
Not to hijack but I'm new to bourbon and was hoping to get a suggestion. I've only ever had Maker's and Woodford Reserve and was looking to pick up a decent but not too pricey bottle for the holidays. What direction do you folks recommend? ~$50 is what I'd like to spend but can be flexible if it worth it.
Members Expressway to yr Skull
Just got myself a bottle of Laphroaig 10 year old. Peaty heaven.

Blanton's original is pretty good and can be found under $50. Maybe Mistasuperfly's got something that'll blow our minds
Members Mistersuperfly
For real, I would pick this over Blanton's in a heartbeat (and I really like Blanton's) it's comparable to Pappy IMO

Blanton's was also recommended right after that so

I know that personally I wouldn't have wanted to leap up to a cash strength whiskey. Each to their own, though.
Members huggernaut
If you're deadset on going neat 100% of the time, it might be worth it to go with something less than cask strength to start I guess. But if you're not opposed to a couple of cubes...
